First we were recovering from Christmas and then we had a fabulous visit from Susan, Steve, and Adam up from Georgia for New Year's (Mark's sis, our BIL, and 17-year-old nephew Adam). Little Dave, in particular, had been asking about them so the timing was perfect. He didn't say anything much to them when we were all in Boone, NC this past summer, but Dave was a Chatty Cathy Doll while they were here which was neat. Our brother-in-law Steve is extremely smart and super handy; he fixed a ton of broken stuff around here!
Okay, what else? My Great Aunt Pat has been diagnosed with end-stage pancreatic cancer so I'm upset about that. She has the most awesome (grown) kids in the universe so maybe she can put in a good word with God for the rest of us, but I don't want her to go - ever.
Matt is having trouble in school and just got his first speeding ticket too (67 in a 45). I am glad it wasn't worse, but... Well, you know! There will be no shortage of drama with four children, but it is more fun to report the good news.
Stay tuned and I will let you know either way. Happy New Year and love to all of you!
So sorry to hear of ur great aunt. Cancer sux.
