Spent several decades after I turned 18 working 3-11 pm. It was either on site at the hospital after school, or remotely from home after Claire and Dave were born. The past 5 years of teaching had me rising very early, but I reverted back to night owl 5 weeks ago when school shut down due to covid-19. Honestly, I'm not sure I ever converted. Late night is my time. I hope to force myself into a 1st shift mentality for a good 15 years or more to teach high school before I retire. I have exactly 5 more days of grad school work, an application for an NC teaching license to apply for, and a 20-minute Zoom graduation ceremony on May 8. But how does anyone sleep at night with everything going on in the world?
